Every wonder why cheesy pickup lines tend to work despite every reason they shouldn't?
Well, the truth is that cheesy pickup lines work because it shows that the guy delivering the line has a sense of humor, according to a recent survey by OnePoll.
If you can make a woman laugh, you have broken down a key barrier in meeting a woman and getting to know her.
OnePoll surveyed 4,000 adults to come up with these results.
This September survey showed that 6 out of 10 women will go for the man who approaches them and makes them laugh. Another key point of this survey is that 4 out of 10 women either married or are still with a man who hit on them with a funny line.
Ask any woman who has been married a long time and many of them will say that the reason they married their husband is because he makes them laugh. Or they will tell you that the reason their marriage has lasted is because of this sense of humor.
Laughter releases endorphins – the natural feel good drugs inside your body – and that makes you more open and more relaxed.
This survey showed that really over-the-top pickup lines tend not to work so carefully choose your lines: an original line directed to a specific girl and situation tends to work best. It helps to keep your pickup lines breezy but also clever, says the survey.
It also always helps to develop a true air of nonchalance where everything rolls of your back. It shows you are a fun guy, kick back and ready to show the woman how to have fun.
One thing that will almost always guarantee you success in your pickup is having good self confidence. Self confidence is like a magnet. When you have good self esteem, you can almost say anything and a woman will respond favorably. It truly is all about your delivery. Time and time again, expert pickup artists have picked the seemingly worst thing to say to pick up a woman and shown how they can make it work.
The OnePoll survey showed that the majority of women like it when men use a humor pickup line and 3/4ths said they would respond positively if the line was accompanied by a smile.
This survey showed that 3 out of 4 men who used cheesy, funny pickup lines had success with them. Sixty-eight percent of 2,000 women questioned in this survey said they had gone on a date with the man who approached them with a pickup line.
True pickup artists can provide dozens if not hundreds of field reports – stories about their pickup successes and failures – that show it really doesn't matter what the man looks like or the actual words that he uses. What matters is the delivery. How the guy approaches the woman and HOW he says what he has to say. It is often the least attractive man in the room who is surrounded by adoring women competing for his attention. Besides learning cheesy pickup lines, remember that it is key to also work on being the best man you can be. Then you will naturally attract women.
