Asking a girl out for most guys is a difficult thing to do. Most of them get cold feet and stammer once they are about to ask a girl out. This act is lame as it seems to be but to some guys they act this way because they are afraid to be wrong and most of all be rejected by a girl.

Approaching a girl. First thing you have to remember is, do not think negatively when you approach a girl. If you have too many ifs and what ifs, you won't get any chance at all to get a date. This way, it seems for that short period of time, both of you managed to know each other quite well. And good enough for you, asking her out is now very probable.
Ask her number. This is very important but most guys tend to forget to ask a girl's number after approaching her. It would not take a genius for girls to notice a guy's interest when he approached her. But once a guy never asked for her number, this will give her mixed signals.
The first phone call. Calling her is following up about the date. This is very important for a girl since she will think that you are serious and persistent. Guys, do not wait that long to call her up. Once you get her number, make that call.
"The" date. So you finally had a date with her. This is the most exciting part. Make sure you also get to be that extra nice, persistent guy you are. Impress her by being a gentleman and never be late on your first date.
The next date afterwards. When you did a good job on your first date, most likely you have a greater chance of landing on the next date.
Congratulations! However, always take to mind that all dates require good conduct. When you show her you are persistent, interested and worthy, you will get her heart soon.
The steps given above are effective for guys who would not want to take things ahead. If you are too shy, you can even take it one step at a time until all the above steps are checked and done. What is good on doing this is that you have a direction and can eagerly focus on each step as you move along.
Also, do not be hard on yourself if you fail on doing one of these steps. As said before, failures and rejections happen. If you managed to call but was unsuccessful on getting a first date, just take this lightly and move along. There are other girls there who will find you interesting. What is important is that you do these steps well and sooner you will find your perfect date.
