Because of man's innate inquisitive nature we all want to ask "what is the power of the mind?" even though many studies have already been conducted in order to know how the mind works, there are details yet to be unearthed and confirmed. For one, how is photographic memory developed? Have you ever dealt with situation wherein you just can't seem to remember names or dates or important schedules? How about struggling with exams because you can't recall what your history teacher said in the last lecture? If you want to know more about developing a photographic memory, here's a short article that may be able to help you. It's been said that humans are able to learn more and remember through experiences. Think of an experience as a jigsaw puzzle that is composed of different parts. In this case, the different parts are the sensory perception pieces related to the experience. Regardless of the experience being simple or complex, the brain is able to recognize memories because of what the five senses tell it. This is why people easily respond to a certain song or a specific scent in recalling important events that have already happened. Photographic memory somehow works in a similar manner. You may be wondering why there are people who can memorize an entire page in an instant. This is because with enough practice, they have already harnessed the power to prod their minds to work on overdrive and be able associate the whole page with a certain experience. It's because they have taken their observation skills to a whole new level. Developing photographic memory is not easy. Depending on the person's own motivations and mind power, it can sometimes take years before it can be used. It should be practiced everyday with the use of the following simple visualization techniques. For example, if you're meeting someone new for the first time, repeat their names to yourself over and over again. This can be done through verbally incorporating their names into the conversation as many times possible without sounding too conspicuous. You'll realize that by doing this technique, you'll be able to associate their names to their faces correctly. In knowing the answer to the eternal question what is the power of the mind, you need to constantly stimulate it with observations of assorted details. Try to look at simple regular objects by paying close attention to little details on them. Then when you have observed all details possible, close your eyes and try to construct the object in your mind. In time, and with habitual practice, you'll be able to perfectly construct events, objects, people and memories accurately with just the power of your mind. What is the power of the mind? The mind is capable of reconstructing not just the past in your head, but can also create an effect on how you live your present days and how you want your future to be. By learning more about how the mind works, not only will you be able to develop a photographic memory, but a clearer perception of the world in general.
