This is called the mental art of funnelling and you might have heard of this before. In fact, this is one of the more advanced and powerful formulas that you should be using for yourself when it comes to your own options as a persuasion artiste. You need to be able to close down all roads and become Rome, because in the end of the day, if you do it right, you will be able to ensure that the only road will lead to you, and when they have no choice, sometimes they will have no choice but to believe you and you alone. And this is the really important thing about the art of persuasion and the biggest enemy of all persuasion artistes is the liberty of choice.
People can choose and in this big ol world, they have plenty of choice and can formulate opinions on almost anything in the world. So what you need to understand is that you must close of all the roads for them and you need to have the mental expertise to do so. Now, this is where your own body language formula comes into question. You need to bring out all the possibilities that they might be thinking and this onus is really on you. For example, you might be trying to convince someone of a fact, and this fact might lead them to another fact, and it might lead them to a product or service that you are trying to sell. So you have masters the art of chain thinking, which masks the fact that you are trying to sell something from the get go.
Earlier on, we also discussed the power of bonding, persuasion and punishment as the three main ways that you can persuade people to believe you and whatever it is that you are selling. So, as you are talking to them you need to be able to identify the tell tale signs of doubt. If there is doubt, then they are more than likely to be considering other alternatives and facts that they are talking about. This is when your own knowledge and wit comes into the picture. You need to be able to think one stop ahead of them, you must know the possibilities that they might be thinking of and you need to know how to close them off.
You can even come prepared with facts of your own or use fear and reward as tools. This is also assuming that you have already bonded with them and you are already having a little of their trust in your hands. Now, all you need to do is to work and build on that and soon, you will have them on your side. You need to funnel their line of thinking into a one way street that they cannot reverse out of and this is truly one of the masterful ways of persuasion. Limit their options to yours!
