You cannot have a limp wristed approach to your persuasion. Coming out and talking softly and being unsure of yourself only makes people less inclined to believe you. You really have to be a master of yourself before you become a master of other people. You should take almost the same approach when it comes to having the power of persuasion, and you need to be as much an authoritarian as much as a salesman in every scenario. This is how you convince people, and the last thing you might want to look at is some emotive language. Use superlatives, punctuate your statements, use tones and intonations as much as you can and you should be conducting an opera with the words that you are saying by the end of the day. You draw them in with your performance and you have them in the palm of your hand. This is how you will be persuading people, and it works most of the time. Remember that people are resistant as well and some people are more resistant than others.
