Also, you need to be able to get into the minds of your potential market, and this is something that you need to be familiar with as well. You need to know what they are thinking and how they are thinking, and how you are going to word your pitch enough to appeal to their senses. Also, your pitch must be filled with enough emotion that inspires them and speaks to them.
The problem with most pitches is that they are cold and corporate, and they are not able to induce any response from the potential quarry. One thing you need to know is that you need to speak directly to the heart of the matter, and to their heart as well. You need to tailor and speak to them, make sure that your pitch is irresistible as possible. Once they cannot say no to you, then you will have perfected in the art of instant persuasion, and you can take this methodology to anything that you do and say to anyone that you meet.
